ARC Raiders has been non-functional on Linux and Steam Deck since the 1.33.0 update. Embark Studios has identified the issue with the Proton team and released a partial fix on the Proton Experimental bleeding-edge branch. A full resolution is still in development.
Enabling the Workaround
Select the bleeding-edge beta branch for Proton Experimental, then force Proton Experimental as the compatibility tool for ARC Raiders.
Setup Steps
- Choose the bleeding-edge branch in Proton Experimental settings
- Set Proton Experimental as the forced compatibility layer for the game
- Refer to the official Proton wiki for detailed branch instructions
